Technical Mentoring by Alumni for First Year Students

The Technical Mentoring by Alumni for First Year Students was organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 27-04-2024. Er. S. Abishek (2016 Passed Out Alumni), Senior Software Engineer, Turing, USA was the resource person for the programme. The first-year students participated in the programme. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE welcomed and introduce the resource person. The resource person introduces about him and his experience in various programming languages. He explained about the expectation from the company on engineering students at the end of the college. He explained about the training that he is going to give to develop the student’s skill for higher salary packages. He insisted about the importance of communication skill, self-promotion, attitude, behaviour, problem solving skills, logical thinking skills, proficiency in programming languages, proficiency in technical tools and company assessment skills. He explained about his experience in Java, Scala, PHP. He also explained about the various technologies such as containers, stack overflow, agile concepts, ChatGPT, eclipse, prototyping, figma design, GIT. He also advised the students to solve problems in leet code. Dr. E. Manohar delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was arranged by Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan and coordinated by Dr. E. Manohar.
