The guest lecture on the topic “Effective UI/UX Design” was conducted on 21-03-2024. The resource person for the guest lecture was Er. Venkatesh, (2004 Passed out Alumni) Member Leadership Staff, ZOHO-Chennai. The resource person is an esteemed expert in the field, set the tone for an engaging and informative session. The lecture commenced with a clear differentiation between UI and UX design. UI, the visual aspect of a product, focuses on the look and feel, while UX concerns the overall experience a user has with the product. The speaker emphasized the importance of balancing both aspects for optimal design. A central theme of the lecture was the significance of user-centred design. Er. Venkatesh emphasized the need to empathize with users, understand their needs, and tailor designs accordingly.
